Our Staff

MacPherson Sheng Hong Childcare Centre is made up of a team of nurturing, passionate and dedicated childcare professionals. All our teachers have at least a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a Certificate in Preschool Teaching. Some of them have at least 20 years of experience in educating and caring for children. Our teachers are committed to providing children with enjoyable and exciting learning experience. In our school, we use various means to develop each child’s capability, skills and potentials. It is our aim that each child will be developed to the best that he/she can be. Our teachers serve as positive role models for our children and gently guide them through a world of discovery.

Our teachers are encouraged to engage in continuous education and lifelong learning to keep their knowledge and skills abreast with the development of the industry. Our school holds annual staffs training events and our teachers are encouraged to participate in relevant training courses, workshops and conferences. We believe it is important to uphold the quality of our staffing so as to provide the best possible care and education to our children.

We adopt small group teaching approach in our school. Our teacher-child ratio is significantly lower than what was recommended by ECDA and hence we are able to provide better care and attention to each child. All our classes are provided with two teachers, one English-speaking teacher and one Chinese Language teacher to implement the daily teaching activities. Our Toddler and Playgroup classes are further supported by one additional Childcare Assistant who will attend to the toileting and other routine care needs of each child. Therefore, we are able to provide each child with close supervision while our teachers can focus on implementing their class activities to ensure optimal learning outcomes for each child.

All our staffs are First Aid trained.
