Centre Profile
Hougang Sheng Hong Student Care Centre has been providing care and supervision over school-going children during their outside school hours since January 2001. We mainly serve children from Primary 1 to 6, with a possibility of serving children up to age 14.
We aim to provide these children with a safe and conducive environment and planned activities during their after-school hours so that these children will not fall prey to undesirable influence as latchkey lads.
We provide a safe, clean and peaceful environment for learning, play and rest. Our home cooked meals are nutritious and tasty. Our staff team is caring and nurturing. Our Centre is a home away from home, a place to support working parents in the care arrangements for their school-going children.
Our daily program includes supervision of children’s homework, organised play, enrichment and recreational activities. During school holidays, we also organise many interesting and educational activities to enhance the children’s learning, social and emotional well-being.
It takes a village to raise a child. Our Centre works closely with many community stakeholders and volunteering groups to plan and implement a variety of interesting and enriching activities to support the holistic development of the children under our care.

Fee Charge for Student Care: SGD $330 per month (inclusive of GST)
**Subsidy is available for those who are eligible. Fee will vary for respite or short-term care.
Our Opening hours
During School Term:
Monday to Friday: 12.30pm to 7.30pm
During School holidays:
Monday to Friday: 7am to 7pm
We provide day care programme for school going children from Pri 1 to Sec 2 (age 7 to 14), which includes the followings:
- A safe, clean and nurturing environment for learning and play.
- Structured and enriching activities for children’s development.
- Guidance and coaching for daily school work.
- Well balanced and tasty food for the children.
Our Programmes & Activities
- We provide guided study time for the students as well as play for the balance of the total learning and development.
- We organise activities which enhance children’s physical, intellectual, social and emotional development.
- We instil in children a strong sense of moral values, self-reliance, and responsibility.
- We organise events like Language & Creativity Development, Teamwork & Self Confidence, Outings, Theme based Holiday Programmes and Families activities.
