Volunteer

Volunteering can be an exciting, growing, enjoyable experience.  It is truly gratifying to serve a cause, practice one’s ideals, work with people, solve problems, see benefits, and know one had a hand in them.

~Harriet Naylor

Volunteers are the only human beings on the face of the earth who reflect this nation’s compassion, unselfish caring, patience, and just plain love for one another.

~ Erma Bombeck

Volunteers are important assets in our Centre.  Depending on your availability, you can assist the staff in planning, organising and implementing of a variety of programmes and activities.

How can you help?

Currently, programmes that need volunteers support and participation include the following:

SENIOR CARE CENTRE

STUDENT CARE CENTRE

KidsREAD

On a regular basis, you can teach or guide a small group of children in promoting the love of reading and cultivate good reading habits among young Singaporeans, in particular, children from low-income families. Providing an avenue for children from various races to interact from an early age. And to enhance the quality of life of the children and their families. You will be delighted to see the development of the child with the efforts that you put in!

Outings and Excursions
If you enjoy outdoor activities, come and assist us in organising our excursions during school holidays.  You will have an enjoyable time too.

Storytelling in Student Care
Storytelling is a great way to inculcate valuable virtues in children. This is in line with what our student care centre promotes; to instil different core values in children through daily sharing. Storytelling encourages children to express themselves by communicating their thoughts, ideas, and feelings. It also serves as a platform for children to improve their literacy skills and listening skills. Storytelling connects the storyteller and children, creating a bond over time.
