Community Work

Our community work taps on local resources and partnerships to foster mutual support and empowerment among individuals and families. Guided by MSF’s Community Work Practice Guide, the FSC does:

  • Needs Assessment & Outreach
We actively reach out—via surveys, visits, and dialogue—to understand emerging and existing community needs and assets. This ensures our efforts are grounded in real, local context.

  • Connecting with Stakeholders
We engage with grassroots organisations (e.g., Residents’ Committees, community clubs), government agencies, and other non-profits to build a strong network of support .

  • Identifying Community Assets
We map out and leverage nearby resources—such as activity spaces, support groups, and volunteer schemes—to help clients access these in practical and meaningful ways .

Our Impact

By mobilising “many helping hands,” we enable clients not only to receive help, but also to contribute back to their communities—a key principle in FSC community work. This approach strengthens social cohesion, builds resilience, and fosters a sense of belonging.
