Group Work

Our group work programmes bring together individuals and families with shared experiences or concerns, creating a safe and supportive space for meaningful interactions. Through guided group sessions, participants can connect, share, and learn from one another—fostering mutual support and empowering each other toward positive change.

Each year, we design and run group work initiatives based on the needs we observe in the community and the profiles of clients served by our social workers. These programmes are thoughtfully planned to address emerging issues and support vulnerable groups more effectively.

A typical group work run consists of about 8 sessions, with 6 to 8 participants, and is facilitated by trained professionals. The small group size ensures personalised attention and a conducive environment for growth.

Examples of our past group work include:

  • Women Who Lift – A support group for women who have experienced family violence, focused on healing, self-empowerment, and rebuilding confidence.

  • A.C.T.I.V.E. – A programme designed to promote active ageing, social connection, and emotional wellness among seniors.

Through group work, we aim to build resilience, strengthen relationships, and enhance the overall well-being of participants.
