My son Kenver Tan has been enrolled with Sheng Hong Student Care Centre for the past three years and we have the opportunity to experience the management styles of different teachers. I am particulary very impressed with one teacher, Mr Thomas Ang, who has been teaching at the centre since the end of 2022.

As a teacher, he has been professional and approachable. He would listen and discuss matters in an amicable manner. This puts us at ease to communicate with each other and resolve any concerns. He is able to handle the kids well, especially when difficult and sensitive situations occur between them. Besides being the disciplinarian, he also fulfils the role of a father figure, providing care and concern for the students at the centre. I am able to see that my son, Kenver, looks up to and respects Mr Thomas a lot more than the other teachers. As such, I am confident that my son is in good hands with teachers like Mr Thomas on-board.

Please extend my appreciation to Mr Thomas, for his dedication and hard work, and to you, Ms Evelyn Choo, for all the assistance rendered over the years. Thank you!

Thank you to all the caregivers at Hougang Sheng Hong Student Care Centre. Although my boy, Lucas, was only with you for about 8 months, we could not be more appreciative for the positive character change seen in him! Lucas was in another student care centre before, however, we had felt that the previous centre was not the right culture fit for Lucas as they focused more on fun and games and lesser on character building. Lucas is a special kid to us who is not lacking in talent, but the ability and willingness to showcase his talent.

Previously, he was very shut off in his own world, and this had affected his studies, leading him to lack confidence and the perseverance to improve.

Since joining Sheng Hong, he has since opened up to us more and now takes the initiative to share with us things that happened to him and interesting facts he had learned. We thank Sheng Hong Student Care Centre for fostering a new positive mindset in Lucas. We are firm believers in character development over intellectual abilities as intellectual abilities can be acquired over time but once habits and characters are formed, they will be hard to change over time.

We are confident that with this improved mindset, Lucas will be able to start secondary school in 2022 with an independent and positive attitude towards learning! Thank you once again!

To the management of Hougang Sheng Hong Student Care Centre.

My two children, aged 11 and 9 years old, have been going to Hougang Sheng Hong Student Care Centre since they entered primary school for after-school care services. I find that beyond the basic care services that you will find like lunch, helping with their homework; they have a lot of activities to engage the children both academically as well as socially. They have regular excursions, for example, visiting Kidszania and Changi Airport and play time in the nearby park to keep them active. They also offer group tuition at competitive rates. Furthermore, I find that the care givers there are passionate about their work and are also active in engaging me and my wife on my children’s progress through half yearly review pertaining to their social and academic developments. I would recommend Hougang Sheng Hong Student Care Centre to anyone who is looking for after school care services for their child.

It gives me great satisfaction to recommend Hougang Sheng Hong Student Care Centre, its teachers and interns for their services and a great place to nurture and care for our kids.

I have placed my daughter, Nur Athina, under their care since 2019 and have noticed tremendous improvements in her EQ and sense of responsibility. And yes, I can make the comparison as previously Athina was placed in another Student Care and it wasn’t a great experience for both of us.

Hougang Sheng Hong Student Care Centre has proved to be passionate in our children’s wellbeing, be it in school, at centre or home. They are sincerely attentive and made time to let the kids know that they are present and care for them.

Ms Eve, Mdm Chashma, Mdm Cynthia and Mr Don, I am truly grateful for all the assistance that you guys have rendered to both my daughter and me the past 1 year. It has been tough for us but you guys made it much easier by assuring me that my daughter is in capable hands. THANK YOU!!
